What is Polymer Screed Additive?

Maingard Add-it Floorscreed is a styrene acrylate copolymer emulsion. Designed to improve the strength of screeds by up to 120% and significantly reduce curing times.

How much polymer will I receive?

One 5kg jerry can of polymer screed additive ready to use.

Using polymer modified screed:

1. Prime floor surface to receive screed using Vuba-Prime SBR.

2. Add 2.5% polymer liquid to the screed mix by weight.;

3. Mix using a forced action mixer to ensure full dispersion.

4. Apply as you would a sand/cement screed.

How much polymer additive do I need?You should base your calculation on the guideline that the standard screed density per cubic metre is approximately is 2400kg. You should multiply the amount of cubic metres you need to cover by 2400kg. The number of Add-it Floorscreed in kilograms that you will require will be 2.5% of that figure.
